What's a registered dietitian?

A Registered Dietitian (RD) is a healthcare professional and the expert in food and nutrition. In order to practice in Canada, a dietitian must be registered with a provincial dietetic regulatory body. The role of the college is to protect you by holding dietitians accountable and ensuring compliance with the code of ethics. Consulting with a dietitian ensures that you receive evidence-based, up-to-date advice.

Why consult with a registered dietitian?

The reasons may vary: Preventing and controlling chronic diseases, weight management, healthy weight gain during pregnancy, controlling gastro-intestinal symptoms and/or maximizing sports performance. This being said, the main objective is to improve upon your health & well being!
